On the Columbia #6

This is Wendy Rose, a sculpture made by women about women who worked in the Kaiser shipyards during the war when the men were off fighting.  They built the ships the men used to fight.  I have featured this Wendy Rose in the past but stopping by on my walk was a good break on the way home along the Columbia.  CLICK on to see better.

  3. I remember when you told about this statue. It's on a very beautyful spot along the river.
