I walked out to the east side of Vancouver Lake Friday. . .
I saw ducks in the water . . .
a blue Heron flew and landed on the grass. . .
and these birds could not make their mind which way they wanted to fly!
Birds everywhere at Shillapoo Wildlife Area adjacent to east Vancouver Lake
I haven't done much walking except on the trip to Oregon. I need to get started doing so. We did work in the yard today.
ReplyDeleteSPRING!
These are wonderful shots full of life. Thanks, friend.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a nice place for a walk. Is it with in walking distance of your home or do you need to take a bus?
ReplyDeleteAre those geese coming or going? Great bird shots, Paule.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place is a place where birds can live well, happy and protected..A heron is very rare to see and to picture, and ducks semm o enjoy the peace of the place.A very lovely post!
ReplyDeleteYou really don't have snow! The gras is green! :))So beautiful photos you've got of the birds. I cannot figure out which gras (the long ones) it is, on the photo of the Heron, but such a wonderful photo!! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like the birds are on the move in Washington. I'm looking forward to the spring bird migrations!
ReplyDeleteI love the bird pictures! I never have my camera at the right time. Well right now I don't even have a camera. No more Canon for me!
ReplyDeleteHi Paulie,
ReplyDeleteI love all your pictures. So interesting. I feel I know Washington! I love the blue Heron with the very tall grasses behind him. Such a nice picture! Hope you are doing well. How much time do you spend each day taking pictures?
We had a bird similar to this in our back yard or maybe it was a crane. Flying birds are hard for me to capture. Good job.
