Turtle or anteater?

Kathy thought this looked like an anteater but I saw this side first and thought it was a giant tortoise.  See it's head looking to the left with the shell and feet?  Then. . .
I looked on the other side and met her anteater!

  1. You know, I really hadn't seen the turtle, but allowed for your and R's imaginations. I must have been looking the other way until the anteater showed up.

  2. Aaaaaa...Now I see the turtle. Amazing. I once saw real loggerhead turtles on the beach at Pawleys Island in SC.

  7. What a shot! And a strike! Old roots can be soooo wonderful! I love them, these and other.
I think the first looks like a turtle/tortoise. Fantastic, I can see the head, neck, shell and the feet!! Hah!! =)) And I admire the lovely long beach!

I'm not sure what the word anteater means.. Neither nor I can figure out what creature from the photo (the last one)..
By the way, your hand, taken where? (in an earlier post you had)- so querious! :)) Have a wonderful day!
