Snowman to order . . .

ON THE BENCH are items my youngest grandson received for Christmas so he could make a snowman.  There is a blue scarf and a black hat with blue headband to dress it up but before you add those, there is a carrot nose, three buttons, smaller buttons for the coal mouth, a pipe for it to smoke and a real carrot.

Problem is, they haven't had any snow stick to the ground YET-- wish I had such a neat set!

  1. Snow should be given with the set! Ü

  2. Maybe you should get him some freeze-dried snow? :-)

  4. Oh, Paulie - you would be lethal with a snowman kit! You'd probably go out and buy a snowmaker so you could use it.

  5. I've sen these in catalogs. Too bad your grandson hasn't had any snow. We had about an inch but the temperatures stayed below freezing for several days. There were snowmen all over the place. I know it was harder to make them with so little snow but the children were determined.
I think this is the first time I can recall you mentioning your grandchildren.

  6. Hmmmm that reminds me I have a zip lock bag of stuff that makes snow. . . used it when I taught in daycare after retiring from teaching elementary school. I wonder where I put it away for safekeeping. Hmmmmm

  7. What a clever gift. I can't wait to see the snowman when the weather gets around to cooperating.

  8. I love this idea! Too bad about the no-snow, though. We still have lot more witer to go so there's still time!

  11. What a clever Christmas gift! I hope I remember it next year--I'll do it for the grandkids in Spokane. (It would be really funny if I did it for the ones in Arizona--lol.)
