Nothing better than to "sit by the sea. . ."

I already used this bench a long time ago on my bench blog.  This time, I am showing it in its environment.  That tiny bit of blue last week sure looked great!

This is the same bench looking towards bench -- I like the Columbia River view better!

I hardly ever catch any of these birds on the posts in the Columbia River. . . last week I did!

Oregon Grape

I used to think this was some sort of Holly but a sign told me it was Oregon Grape. . .

In the air, on the ground, in the water. . .

I walked out to the east side of Vancouver Lake Friday. . . 

I saw ducks in the water . . . 

a blue Heron flew and landed on the grass. . . 

and these birds could not make their mind which way they wanted to fly!

Added bonus reflection

As you can see this is a reflection of a tree in the window of a building on the campus of Washington State University in Vancouver, WA.  . .  NOW, click  on the photo to find the  surprises of what else is reflected!  Did you see them both?  Pretty neat huh?  If I  had known what my camera captured, I would have turned around and taken photos of them outside the reflection!

Well, BIG disappointment. . . one of my readers tells me the birds are window stickers.  sigh  I thought I caught one bird in flight and one on a low branch.  BIG SIGH

The calendar says it's still winter but we have evidence . . .

that it's SPRING!!!!!!!!!

Maybe winter is over. . . early---- here. . .

My Almost Snowless Mantra

“Just one snowfall,” you moan. . .
BUT do you remember the 20 snowfalls I provided for you last year?

Do you remember the joy it brought to your soul?

Never forget, I know your thoughts before you do.

I know your future day after day, week after week, year after year

Before it ever comes to happen for you.

I knew that others would enjoy the snow like you.

This winter, it was their turn to marvel

At the white stuff falling from the sky

In places that hardly ever see snow touch the ground in a white blanket.

So, enjoy their photos shared of this white blessing

Give thanks to Me, the Creator who made it possible

To share your joy of snow  . . . with others . . .  this winter.

Remember, you will always have those snow memories from the past.

No one can take them away from you.

More will come
