White Iris at St. James church downtown. . .

Thursday, our first sunny day with NO RAIN in a very long time and even warm temperatures. . . I walked to the post office to get some ten cent stamps for part of my postage to letters I mail to France.  I had forgotten them the other day when I get regular stamps. If you enlarge, you can see the sign for this historical church. All these white Iris were on the property there.

  1. The white iris give some sweetness to the severe look of the church, and add to its charm.

  2. They look beautiful. They could easily become one of my favourite flowers.

  4. Pure white gardens are very beautiful. There is one in my neighborhood - I enjoy seeing what white flowers are blooming.

  5. I don't thing I've ever seen white ones. I have some that I call ice blue which are very very pale and are quite beautiful, but these are very special.
