Garden Bed anyone?

At the Farmers Market last week, I spotted this clever way to advertise their own product.  Isn't it clever?  I would love to have a raised box for a garden but alas, there is no room!

Where's the butterflies?

Beautiful butterfly bush BUT no butterflies around!

Glorious Pink . . .

The unusual green leaves make this Rose stand out beautifully!

Pink Dahlia

This is one of the Dahlias I planted at church near the sign.  Looks like I  got some weeding to do too!

Burnside Bridge

This bridge raises for tall ships.  Every year for the Rose Festival, the tall ships come in to help Portland celebrate.

Stop sign shadow

                                     Looks mighty short for a shadow of a tall sign this time of day!

Old Town (Portland) famous sign

The people that own the sign used to have a business in the building below but now are gone and want to sell the sign.  The city has asked to buy it and will alter it to their liking in the future.

Long shadow on Burnside Bridge

I was attracted to this long shadow first AND THEN the blue water of the Wilamette River.

They have a nice little set up here with beautiful architecture, the bell that rings and the beautiful gardens.  No space wasted!

Caught these with my camera recently when I was walking around Portland.  One thing I have noticed is that Portland likes its art!

Line of roses. . .

It caught my eye to see the varigated roses all in a row like this!  CLICK on to  see even better!

Last month, I was walking over the Burnside Bridge and captured these designs.  Aren't they neat?

Wild roses . . .

Was waiting for a bus when I spotted this wild rose bush and had to take out my camera. 

Was glad I had to wait a few minutes for the bus.
